A social company based on an art venue

In this pilot project we are tackling two challenges that come with managing a new cultural venue. First one is about the economy: achieving sustainable funding and reaching new sources of income to support the venue infrastructure. Second one is about community: turning audiences into supporters, partners into users, sponsors into contributors - by interconnecting in new ways with diverse communities such as neighbours, local citizens, private businesses, big companies.

To achieve these goals, we develop and test a series of experimental actions, the largest one being establishment of our own business company. This new company enables us not only to monetize resources and collaborate more closely with the business sector, but also to foster innovation in our organisational ecosystem through circular economy models and social entrepreneurship dedicated to bringing the surplus back to the cultural and creative sector.
